Mesh_Point Cloud Filter & Inspect Mesh. This tool performs two key functions:
Filtering the point cloud by distance from the selected meshes.
Inspecting the filtered point cloud from the first step against the selected meshes.
Requirements:
Select multiple meshes before running the script
Steps:
Select multiple meshes generated using the Polyline_Extrude Mesh tool.
Run the script. It will prompt you to specify the point cloud that needs to be filtered.
Specify the distance for filtration from the selected meshes and click the Start Filtering button.
Point cloud for each space will be divided into 4 elements:
Floor Cloud
Ceiling Cloud
Walls Cloud
All Inside elements
After filtration, the script will offer the option to continue with inspection.
To proceed with inspection, click the Start Analysis button.
To skip this step, click the Skip button.
Deviation Analysis Parameters:
Choose which elements should be inspected:
Walls
Ceilings
Floors
Choose parameters for inspection
Maximum analysis distance (meters) - specify the maximum distance from the model for analysis
Ignore points on edges
Subdivide meshes before analysis - set value from 3-5 cm for detailed analysis
After the inspection, the colored meshes will be saved into the Measure Group.
Notes:
A filtered point cloud can be used for modeling and inspection purposes
The inspected meshes can be used for doors and windows extraction.
They can also be used to check the accuracy of models generated by the Polyline_Extrude Mesh tool
