Cloud & Mesh - Point Cloud Walls Segment Filter

Cloud & Mesh_Point Cloud Walls Segment Filter. This tool applies multiple filters to a selected point cloud and automatically segments each wall in your dataset.

Requirements: 

• Before running the script: Create a plane for each wall using the Plane Region Grow tool.

Steps:

1. Generate a wall plane. Use the standard Plane Region Grow tool to define a plane for any wall in your point cloud.

2. Run the script. The script will prompt you to select the point cloud for filtering. Click on your point cloud.

3. Select the wall plane. After selecting the point cloud, click on the wall’s plane.

Automatic segmentation

The script will begin filtering automatically. Upon completion, it will generate folders for:

• Walls

• Floors

• Ceilings

Each folder will contain its own segmented point cloud data.

Notes:

• If your point cloud contains excessive noise:

Run Auto Classification before using the filter. Retain only the following layers: Walls, Ceilings, Floors, Columns, Doors, Windows
