๐ Geometry_Compare CAD Dimensions
Geometry_Compare CAD Dimensions. This script allows users to measure selected CAD lines, compare their actual dimensions with nominal values, and visualize deviations using color-coded tolerance feedback. It generates a detailed measurement report at the end.
Requirements:ย
Select one or more CAD lines in the project.
Lines should represent design measurements from CAD software.ย
Steps:
Select the lines that represent measurements from CAD software.
Run the Script
Automatically detects selected lines.
Highlights the active line in blue (10px, semi-transparent).
Measurement Dialog
Displays line info: name, length, number of points, direction.
Allows user to:
Set Good and Warning tolerances. Define tolerance for green color and for yellow color.
Choose arrow style: built-in, custom segments, or none.
Add optional notes.
Click the Start Measuring
User selects two points to define the measured length.
The script aligns the dimension line to the lineโs primary axis (X, Y, or Z).
Calculates deviation from nominal length.
Tolerance Evaluation
Green: within good tolerance.
Yellow: within warning tolerance.
Red: outside tolerance.
Displays status with emoji and color-coded feedback.
Measure Label & Report Generation
Creates a label at the midpoint with deviation info.
Stores all measurements and generates a summary report.
Notes:
Press ESC at any time to exit loop mode.
Ideal for validating CAD geometry against real-world measurements.
