Mixed - Walls Unroll

The Mixed_Walls Unroll tool can be used to generate wall unrolls for each room. This tool offers two modes of operation:

1. Unroll Walls - Physically rotates wall meshes based on the angles of the lines in the room contour polyline to create a flattened unroll of the room.

2. Create Report - Does not create a physical unroll but generates a PDF report for each wall, including its statistical information.

Requirements: 

• Select multiple geometric mesh objects that represent walls and the room contour polyline (this can be generated using the Mesh_Auto Room Contour tool).

Steps:

A. Select the room contour polyline and multiple mesh objects that represent the walls of a single room. Each wall should be represented as a separate mesh element. You need to select meshes and contour related only for a single room.

B. Execute the script and choose the Mixed_Walls Unroll option.

C. The script will prompt you to select a mode:

• Unroll Walls

• Create Report

Unroll Walls:

Physically rotates each mesh element representing walls based on the angles of the lines in the room contour polyline. This creates a flat unroll of the entire room.

Create Report:

Automatically generates a PDF report for each wall in the room. Each page of the report includes:

• A front view of the wall

• A top view of the wall

• The room name

• The wall name

• The wall's surface area

• The wall's length

• The wall's height

Notes:

• It is mandatory to split the room mesh into separate elements. Each wall must be represented as a single, independent mesh element.
