Polyline - Extrude Rooms

The Polyline_Extrude Rooms tool creates extruded meshes from the selected polylines.

Requirements: 

• Select multiple room contour polylines.

• Each Room Group must include a mesh segment representing the ceiling. This ceiling mesh will be automatically placed into the Room Group if it was selected during the Room Contour generation.

Steps:

1. Select multiple polylines representing the room contours.

2. Run the script and select the Polyline_Extrude Rooms option.

3. Choose the option for Extrusion:

• The Floor and Ceiling Planes are represented in the related folder

• By the Planes included inside the LEVELS group

4. Multiple extruded meshes will be generated. The height of the extrusion will be automatically calculated based on the difference between the floor and ceiling meshes located in the relevant Room Group.

Notes:

• In the future, these extruded meshes can be used for point cloud filtering, unroll generation, and detecting doors and windows.

• Script will generate 3 separate meshes for each space:

1. Walls

2. Floor

3. Ceiling

To use the option by LEVELS user should create the LEVELS group and add two horizontal planes to represent the levels for extrusion.
