🔗 Merge Walls
Merge Walls. Part of Walls _Construction Tools. This script combines multiple wall rectangles into a single merged rectangle with a unified centerline, based on best-fit geometry and average width.
Requirements:Â
Before running the script:
Ensure wall rectangles are already created (e.g., using the Cloud & Mesh - Create Walls )
Each rectangle must have a centerline named in the format Center_<width> (e.g., Center_0.300).Â
Steps:
Run the Script
Launch from the Walls_Construction Tools menu.
Select Rectangles
Click on rectangles to select them.
Selected rectangles are highlighted in white.
Click again to deselect.
Click outside to open the finish menu.
Press ESC to cancel.
Analyze Selection
The script checks each selected rectangle for a valid centerline.
Extracts width from centerline names.
Calculates the average width across all selected rectangles.
Z-Level Selection
A dialog appears allowing you to:
Use the lowest Z from selected rectangles.
Pick a point manually in the viewport.
Choose from existing horizontal planes in the LEVELS group.
Create Merged Rectangle
A new rectangle is created along the best-fit line.
Uses the average width and selected Z level.
A new centerline is also created.
Notes:
Minimum of 2 rectangles required to perform merge.
Centerline names must follow the Center_<width> format.
All merged objects are grouped under Merged_Wall_N.
